The Point Approach
Life is a line
between birth and death
connecting infinite points
success is just a point:
the jubilation, for a fraction of time
the respect, the laurels
the awards, the rewards
the bonhomie, the ecstasy
only for a limited time
the hangover slowly decays
over a period of time
and then it expires
but the journey of life
goes beyond the success point
same is the case for failure:
as time passes
failures set in
setbacks appear
differences crop up
disappointments occur
negative thoughts surround the mind
anger, jealousy, hatred and fear
digging the trauma of past
overestimating the perils of future
View failure as a point
in the same spirit
success is a point
so also is failure
resembling planet Mercury
visible at dusk or dawn
the point approach
detaches the mind
from desires and sorrows
in the pursuit of
a stress free life.
Beautifully observed life from close aspects. You are true. Life is a line between birth and death. The point approaches and detaches the mind. Dawn and dusk come and go between the line of point. A very deep and expressive poem is shared here...10

Nicely articulated and presented. We all have gone through and experienced the highs and lows in our respective lives which is a series of inter-connected points from birth to death. This is philosophical. Thanks.
