The Pond Poem by Paul Wilson

The Pond

Through the reflection stirred the pond
- I waved in vain my magic wand.
While clouddrops gathered into rain
- the wand I had I waved in vain.
My image shone with sunlight paved
- I waved my wand; in vain I waved
The clouds aside where I had been,
The water danced and broke my dream!
