The Poor Guy & The Idol Poem by Raouf Reda

The Poor Guy & The Idol

Once upon a time…

There was a child who lived near
Idols hated him so he lived in fear
He was brave but yet he never shad a tear

The curse was to take his dear ones
Poor little thing, the pain was in tons

Idol created a demon from the innocent thing
He was ready for all the sorrow life may bring

But the curse was still there
When he found his cute little girl

Seems it was written on his DNA
That love is not here to stay

He built a wall of steel and flame
He stood with guns to keep the tame

He tells the world that he is sleeping
While the fact that he is still weeping

It doesn't matter now it's over anyhow
Cause the idols will never broke a vow
