The Power Of Stories! Poem by Denis Martindale

Prayer warriors love epic tales, with heroes young and old,
When true grit courage never fails and faith's there to behold.
With scenes explained and battles fought and intrigues thus revealed,
Each dream and scheme and inmost thought no longer kept concealed.
Imagine scribes and writers, too, and poets now and then,
And all the editing they do, over and over again.
And characters who don't exist, yet draw us closer still,
Such that by reading we persist more knowledge to instill.
And there are Bible stories shared each day throughout the year,
The likes of which can't be compared when God's truths make things clear.
And blessed are children who learn these, quote Jesus and believe,
Through illustrations meant to please, more beauty to receive.
And think of Gospel films as well, praise God, they've played their part,
If blessed by what great stories tell, tell God, How Great Thou Art!
