The Preacher Poem by Christopher Cariad

The Preacher

I preach about love,
I preach about faith.
I preach about the lies,
that hide behind your face.
The lies that made me cry
and pushed our friendship toward its goodbye.
I preached about forgiveness,
but never did I forgive.
I wish the world
and fell with that last kiss.
What have I done,
when I've been preaching a lie?
The only real preacher
has already died.
