The President Who Believes His Own Lies Poem by Francis Duggan

The President Who Believes His Own Lies

When the U S voters went for political change they elected as their leader Donald J Trump
And any semblance of morality, honesty or truthfulness from politics they choose to dump
Trump won through the electoral college but it must be taken note
That his political rival Hillary Clinton won the popular vote

A President who for his disrespect for women has become widely known
His poor values on morality he does seem proud to own
His dishonesty he does not even attempt to disguise
The President who is known to believe his own lies

As a Nation well worth admiring the U S was to the fore
But sadly what used to be is not anymore
In November twenty sixteen their voters this honor choose to give away
On electing Donald J Trump as the President of the U S of A

Not suprising he ever became President many struggle to understand
Of the U S of A such a very great Land
But sadly the values that made them great their voters gave away
In November twenty sixteen on Presidental Election Day.
