The Pretender Poem by Marie Joyce B. Negapatan

The Pretender

Rating: 3.2

It’s a shame

Why can’t she be

Her own soul

But it’s not what I see

I tried to peek

The fantasies of her unreality

Of this pretensions

It’s all just her imagination

It’s a deep thought

When I fall

I just want to slam her

Out of this damn, sham world

It’s a wonder

Of her own underworld

When she unveils not

Her own genuine color.
