Marie Joyce B. Negapatan

' Dumb '

To act
Dumb
Eventhough
I’m not

To speak
Silent
Eventhough
I mock

To sit
Still
Though
My mind
Is filled

With thoughts
To hide
In a well
Of tide

Is to feel
What you
Want me
To feel

Now I’m
Dumb
With eyes
Wide shut.

    Gripping, intense, profound.

    goign forward
    with a strong self
    declaring
    I am this person
    what a blessing
    a fine poem
