The Problem With Wishes

Rating: 5.0
Wishing will make it so
Isnt that what Glenn Miller said?

But wishes don't make anything come true.
Wishes are goals demoted and dreams deffered

We trick ourselves when it comes to wishes
and waste our time wishing for the attainable.

What a cruel trick.

No thanks, I have enough wishes of my own, but I understand the difference between a wish, a vision, a purpose and a goal. In mot sure you understood my poem, but I guess that is my fault. What wish have you ever seen come true? If something happend that you really wanted to happen. It is because you worked on it, or you had a good friend who helped you out. The things that we should wish for are things that dont really unicorns. You shouldnt wish to lose 10 pounds, you work on losing ten pounds. In this society, we cast words like wish on children, and they get it confused with dreams, goals, purpose, being nice to people and working damn hard. Why wish for the attainable? Wishing for things sets you back, when you could have been busy working on getting it. Life is a lot of work. People dont like to hear it or be reminded of it, but it's true. Now, some people love work- which makes it easier for them. And some hate work and life is bitch. Good or bad, real life has nothing to do with wishes if you arent 5 anymore :) .

If this poem is anything to go by Noemi, you have a major job ahead of you! You keep thinking this way and you will be as miserable as your poem suggests you are now. Fairy Godmother, giving you three wishes and 10 from Tai
