Let words be more than what they seem at first glance on a page,
Let thoughts progress, as in a dream, not captured in a cage.
Let wisdom pour out like red wine as if blood from your heart,
Let rhythms run on every line, displayed to stand apart.
Let treasures hide within the text just as acrostics do,
Let readers smile and not get vexed as if they've got no clue.
Let loneliness have its domain yet not forever more,
Let happiness fall as the rain, with rainbows still in store.
Let passions pour, if need they must, condemning poverty,
Let verses overcome distrust through pleasant poetry.
Let burdens quickly fade away as raindrops melt the snow.
Let sunshine brighten every day as poems come and go.
Let inspiration grant rewards for poets near and far,
Let fame increase what it affords when poets raise the bar.
Let tributes tell of noble deeds that superheroes bring,
Let praises rise when faith succeeds through Jesus Christ the King.
Let love, of course, stay uppermost for lovers hand-in-hand,
Let poems travel coast-to-coast, for these show what God's planned.
Let epic tales transform each soul with great expectations,
Let words of peace fulfil each role God intends for nations.
Let lines from first to last take hold in readers who love rhyme,
The greatest story ever told, God wants to sound sublime!
For every skill a poet shares, God grants a miracle,
In fact, through these came holy prayers that even blessed Saint Paul.
For all great poets who have lived, God grants a legacy,
For each imparts God's precious gift within their poetry!
