The Pun Contest Poem by Raymond Farrell

The Pun Contest

The other day
In Hangzhou
They held
A pun contest
I spit and polished up
My best ten puns
Shined them up
Got them into shape
When they all
Looked spic and span
I sent them
Into the contest
I felt deep
Within myself
Surely at least
One will win
But no pun in ten did.
