The Rain Poem by Grace Burke

The Rain

The rain gently falls as it cleanses my soul
The sound of its rhythm makes me feel whole
The soft quiet splat as it hits the glass pane
Soothes all my woes, this beautiful rain.

My face to the heavens, my arms held up high
I embrace the cool drops as they fall from the sky
The trickle of water caresses my face
As the beat of the rain keeps up its slow pace.

The marvelous feel, the height of delight
I breath in the smells, I take in the sights
My mind now refreshed, I can face a new day
This wonderful rain washed my worries away.
