The Reaper Poem by Allyson Gordon

The Reaper

He walks the path of death
Watches us ever so closely
Searching for a victim
A human he can make ghostly

Once you answer death’s call
The call to set your soul free
You take the reaper’s hand
Released of life, you will be

But don’t fear the reaper
For he alone releases you
Of the pain and sorrow
Everything erased, you’re now new
