The Reborn Dark-Skinned Girl Poem by Molly OShaunessy

The Reborn Dark-Skinned Girl

Her eyes are big and bright
Shining like the North Star
On a dark and cloudy night

Her hair, finer than freshly made silk
And curly, like hour old perm
And as soft as cotton

Her skin is the color of caramel
Softer thana newborn baby's
And as warm as a spring day

Her beauty shines
Her smile brightens up my darkest days
Her laugh brings comfort and warmth to my heart

The day she was born into this world
Was the day the fog cleared away from my head
And the darkness hid away

My love for her is stronger
Than the bond between a thousand soulmates
I made the perfection she is

My beautiful Reborn Dark-Skinned girl
That is the meaning of her name
My beautiful Mora Renee

Beautiful love poem written with clarity of thought and mind. A lovely and romantic creation. Thanks for sharing Molly.

Thank you, but it's not a romantic poem. I wrote it for my infant daughter.
