The Reconstruction If Willows
Willow takes bark.
Bark takes Willow.
Early twilight suffices past struggle
with Night.
A man consumed moss land and dark
Earth and nothing but concrete remains
to say he did.
The tremble often suffices, not the leaf
on the vine.
The flesh and finer bones of the dead
wax combative against
reissue as sand.
Near to close as even closer to far.
Travel through the jungle to simply find
you are there once again.
Elect a new king, cut pleading trees into
your will of tables, rooms, mansions and
chairs and start the societal ruminating
all over again, even within the shadow of
life's python, even within the shadow of
the nonredeemable sinners and sins of the
storm.
Build majesty with foolish sharp glass eyes.
Build high and tall.
Build high and tall.
