The Reverie Poem by Sundeep Goswami

The Reverie

The lights are switched off, for the projector to be seen
In the soft glow of the dark, I begin to dream.
The professor is professing, students studying,
But I in my dream, I am scurrying.

I hear a rumble, in the background
Reality or dream, I could not have found;
For in the next moment, with me in a daze
I felt the stern, ominous, Professor’s gaze.

He walked up to me, book in one hand
Without being asked, up I did stand
“Why the reverie? Am I a bore? ”
Pat came the reply, “no sir, the lights make me snore”

Moral of the story, to teachers all around
Do not switch the lights off, or heads will go down
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again
The more you use computers, the less you use the brain.
