The Right To Vote - Poem by Magnus Tukkonen

Winston Churchill said it,
Democracy is the worst form of government…
Except for all the others that have been tried.
Making democracy the best.

The best countries are those like
The USA, Canada, Britain, Norway and France,
And all of the other democratic nations.
They are better than the rest.

Communism is the devil of the political system.
Democratic children are taught,
To fight it at all costs,
Or suffer the consequences of living in a dictatorial state.

The dirt on the bottom of a pair of boots,
Are the heathen countries such as,
China, North Korea and the former USSR.
Those that are in a communist state.

Democracy is better than communism,
But what makes democracy so great?
It gives us the right to vote,
To choose the dictator of our state.
