The River, Ubiquitous Poem by Butch Decatoria

The River, Ubiquitous

Rating: 3.5

Ubiquitous like the River,
Running yet stands still
Watch the rapids go,
Yet still here by evidence, extant

Life is like the river, ubiquitous
Ride the flow and bends
The dips and turns
The changes ever shifting

Unquenched is wanting more
To your own life, a nothing
Never can ride the river twice
Each time it's new and yet

Thirst stays the same, life like
The river, ubiquitous
A thing in two places at once
Life here then gone

Elsewhere / Let us run like
The River, ubiquitous.
Farewell my August month. Jupiter Ruled by the Sun.

The Soul is a River.

Beautiful poem filled with profound thoughts presented so poetically. Yes life is like river. Waters that have flown through never come back, giving way to new waters. Still in cycles of time all existence is ubiquitous. Thanks for sharing.
