The Road To Her Heart Poem by james watkin

The Road To Her Heart

Smooth for the courtesies layed down.
A stretch of the sincere-conveyed.
Not the bumpy, disaffection-bent
In the histories portrayed!

What last is seen, of love's high-aimed
Of love's topmost defining
For to rise, one-palaced, in this its
Stately, sublime enshrining.
