The Rocks In The Ocean Poem by Meg Harrison

The Rocks In The Ocean

I certainly can not take a boat
even I cannot swim here I think it is shallow
and my body can not float.
I can sit here on the rocks as I long as time will allow
I hope it does stays low tide
so I can see every rock till I get to the other side.
If I have to jump on each formation of rocks.
I ask myself how far apart are these rocks
but all the rocks becomes docks.
I can walk on these rocks clustered together
the ocean will stay calm in this weather.
