The Rooms Of My Heart Poem by Tina Rizk

The Rooms Of My Heart

My love,

In my heart exists a black room
That only you hold the keys
And where I bury old versions of me

In my heart exists a yellow room
That only you hold the keys
In that room, I create new dreams
Bright from the sunbeams
Dreams about us, tender as flower buds

In my heart exists also a white room
That only you hold the keys
That room is just for you and me
We sit and chat of everything
I ornated its walls with love poems
From its window, we can see the sea
And the horizon of you and me

In my heart exist a lot of rooms
And since in my life you loomed
Within them spring blooms
With its flowery perfume

And you hold all their keys
For my heart belongs only to you
With its rooms, streets and cities
