The Rose's You Gave Me Is Dead Poem by Zotena Moses

The Rose's You Gave Me Is Dead

You gave me beautiful rose's
‎You said you love me
‎And I believed
‎You said our love will never die
‎I trusted you till I learnt the truth
‎The rose's you gave me is dead

‎I tried to raise it again
‎But I learnt love doesn't grow like that
‎I left my soul behind in loving you
‎I was strong in weakness
‎I smile in death
‎The roses you gave me is dead

‎I thought we shared a dream of a perfect life
‎A world till age do us apart
‎I see now in a different light
‎I work away from all we planned
‎Now I see your broken promises
‎The rose's you gave me is dead
‎And so is what we shared.

‎Now I'm living in a brand new town
‎No tears left from your deceit
‎I left for good with no regrets
‎The rose's you gave me is dead
‎But I'm alive instead.
