In the days of my adolescence,
Often had I thought about the years that follow,
For those days were filled with hopes and dreams,
And as I stand here, hardly passed the bloom of youth,
Times passing has certainly misled those dreams,
I’ve come to live in a life I did not foretell,
A life not carefully planned could cause regret,
Regrets for not taking roads that could have altered today’s course,
I sit at my desk and wonder what lies ahead,
Could I plan meticulously my future still?
Indeed it can be done,
Let me get up, for today I start.
