Jerusalem
there are crystals coming out of the sky
the same shape as honeycomb
there's an electro-trance band playing
you can hear them in the air
And you have 2 tickets
collect the snow like it's pollen
the bees cover their heads with it
returning to an ice-flower
then suddenly scarlet
a man appears
and he likes the kill
the snow makes the sound of his truck sound softer
their chests are silent, their hearts have collapsed
where is the natural law that protects against this?
the tickets float away in the wind
the bees go back to being endangered
the crystals melt all at once from the sides of your eyes.
how can a place so thick with prayers not be safe?
how can people live here when they are dying one at a time?
the bees still dance to the sunlight
the Queen chooses a successor
the new one doesn't look majestic
but her body will change in time
will adapt,
will acclimatise
will re-claim
all of them princes and princesses
all of them citizens, guests, illegals
eating the royal jelly of Jerusalem
all of them Queens in the making
dying from your touch
dying from your indelicate handling
dying from removal of its sting
dying from removal of its self-defence
and dying from removal of its self-defence!
the bees still dance to the sunlight the Queen chooses a successor the new one doesn't look majestic but her body will change in time will adapt, will acclimatise will re-claim all of them princes and princesses... very fine thought and example. love it. tony
