The Sacrifices We Make For True Happiness Poem by Faith Evanstar

The Sacrifices We Make For True Happiness

Why don't you understand?
Why don't you listen to me explain?
I've finally found,
True love.
Yet you're displeased,
Your disgusted.

He isn't good enough for you,
He's an individual.
He was brave enough,
To stand up to you.
He was brave enough,
To fight for me.

What more,
Could you possibly expect from him?
I don't want to marry,
The man you picked out.
My heart belongs to someone else.

It may be,
A dangerous pth,
But I won't surrender.

These are the risks we take,
To fight for wha we want.
I ran away from you,
For fear you would destroy him.

But they are,
The sacrifices we must make,
For true happiness.
