The Sad Eyed Witch (Love Of Sadness) Poem by Isaac Seiff

The Sad Eyed Witch (Love Of Sadness)

Rating: 4.7

The sad eyed witch is playing piano in the corner of her room
She comes up with a soothing melody
She talks her secrets with words of doom
And she cries the loss of her shattered dream

It's twilight across the window
You can hear the birds pray
And knives'll be falling from gates
Of heaven until dawn

She looks down and sees a drop of her own blood
Confusion's taking her over
Her heart is pounding faster than ever before
"There's nothing left in this world"

Yeah the sad eyed witch is trapped
In the ruins of time
As she tries to close her eyes wide
Hoping to die,
She sees a light from her keyboard
And the empty symphony is roarin'
As she hears the whispers of her memories
Echoing in her brain

The moon is full outside
And there's a hand on her bedside table
The poor girl is entwined
Between dried tears and coagulated plasma
But both of them have evaporated
In her shiny eyes is left no spark
She's screaming in her pillow, alone in the dark

The first ray of light just appeared
The sky is partially red
My dear witch is looking at the ceiling
No thoughts left in her head.
But the blade rain is finished outside
And the sky's blessed with a rainbow
And wind has a silence to blow,
That's taking away all plight.

Sad eyed witch with her purple hair
Her eyes darker than ashes and her skin that's fair
She has a fresh brewed coffee voice
And a blues music smell
You're scared of love but trust me love doesn't bite
Your alarm is ringing and you haven't closed your eyes during the whole night.

Sad eyed witch what happened?
Have you lost your way home
Your footsteps been taken away by the storm
What happened to that kid who was born
Innocent like a dream
And bizarre like a nightmare
Your scars have stories to tell
That your mouth keeps veiled
