The Sadness Poem by Neela Nath Das

The Sadness

Only for you I
picked up the sadness
from the soil below
the sky.
I never blocked the
natural stream
Flowing out from
the yielding lea.
Feared to block it
With the eternal rock beneath.
Also can never say- - - -
Here it is!
Do you know what
pain is!
Did you ever penetrate
your feelings into a region
named Heart?
I'm what I'm,
with invited sadness,
with welcomed strife.
Leave me there
and let me drink
the chrned poison
I acuired from
the unknown sea.
