There's No Heaven Poem by Neela Nath Das

There's No Heaven

Rating: 4.6

Now, there's no heaven between me
and my bygone days of past.
It was only the shady shelter
of my mother's veil, the
affectionate smell of mother's
hands which told me, it was
a heaven's door,
between the wall of paradise
and earthly life of innocence.
It was the belief that god
kills demons, and justice is the
enemy of wrongdoers as evil can't
ever win over good.
Childhood is a thought
which keeps its balmy hands
on the fevered forehead
of a experienced tortured soul.
It exists in our mind's mind.
