The Saint And The Serpent Poem by Mahathi Mydavolu

The Saint And The Serpent

In search of truth, becomes a man, how weird
A saint; sears desires and grows a beard
To learn a lot or just a bit and dies
The crowd dubs him as fool; his words as lies
And say he chased mirages; lived in dreams
And failed to skim and lip, lifes tasteful creams

Compare with pure materialist who spends
His time in vice till falls with crapulence
With no concern for norms, the right and wrong;
With no fear of God and His dour flog
Hes called the wise, the one who knows to live
Thats what the tidings tell; and world believes

You still can muse and choose between the two
To know, the wise from fools; its up to you
