The Sceptre Poem by Vera Sidhwa

The Sceptre

He held it well.
He wielded it so well.
The king's majesty glowed,
In his lush palace.

He held it well.
His kingdom flourished.
This king's soul,
Showed everybody what their should be.

The scepter this king held,
Was of magical proportions,
That God himself had given it.
This King was King,
And held well the scepter God had given him.
