The rolling flood of midnight mist
crashes in on the hapless town
souls caught on wind reach for
the grinning moon
long to caress it, but alone
alone.
my screams are ever silent
my voice is taken away.
dark figures approach,
the world absorbs water like warped wood.
the sickly skies bring me no comfort,
as I scream still.
