The Scream Poem by Melissa Koeman

The Scream

Here comes the rain again
Bringing back the dark
Bringing back all those memories
Leaving me forever lost
Illusions that make me wanna cry
I just can’t take all this
Things don’t ever go my way
The constant pressure I’m under
It’s driving me insane
There is the silence again
I want to scream so I can break that horrifying silence
I’m now standing blindfolded in a corner
Waiting for the death blow
What do I have to do?
What’s it gonna be?
I try to speak
But the words won’t come
I’m in chains, I struggle to get away
But I’m stuck again, stuck in my mind there in the corner
I open my mouth
My scream gets lost in the night…
