The Sea As Desire (Shakespearean Sonnet) Poem by ashok jadhav

The Sea As Desire (Shakespearean Sonnet)

The sea pulls hard upon the waiting shore,
As my heart strains toward thee, deep and wide;
Its restless waves repeat what I adore—
A longing vast no distance can divide.
Each surge confesses hunger without shame,
Each tide returns, though driven far away;
So desire moves, obedient to thy name,
Unstilled by time, untamed by reason's sway.
Beneath calm blue, a darker passion sleeps,
A depth that storms and silence both conceal;
The surface lies, but truth forever keeps
Its pulse where buried cravings learn to feel.
O sea of want, both perilous and true,
I drown, yet gladly, in my thirst for you.
