People are like seasons…
Some arrive like summer,
warm enough to make you believe they were meant to stay.
Some come like spring,
softly blooming in places you thought had gone quiet,
Teaching you that life can begin again.
Some feel like autumn..
beautiful, golden,
But slowly letting go, one leaf at a time,
Until you realize they were never meant to walk with you forever.
And some are winter..
They come cold, leave you questioning your warmth,
And teach you that not every silence needs to be broken.
Some leave without warning.
Some stay longer than expected.
Some return when you're no longer the person they once knew.
Seasons change, people do too
Some are chapters.
Some are lessons.
Some are memories.
And some…
are simply seasons.
You don't hate winter
because you loved summer.
You learn to let each season
be what it came to be.
