The Seed Of Wonder. Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Seed Of Wonder.

A thought I ponder, soft and deep,
When this life's journey falls asleep.
Is there a pause, a gentle wait,
Before we face our final fate?

A chance to learn, to mend, to grow,
Before the curtain starts to go.
Or is the sentence, sharp and clear,
When breath departs, and ends all fear?

To know the way, to play the game,
Would ease the doubt, would quench the flame
Of anxious thought, of what might be,
A final test, for all to see.

But wisdom whispers, age-old lore,
Prepare your heart, and ask no more.
Live well, live true, with faith's embrace,
And leave the rest to time and space.

Perhaps the queue is short and fast,
This life, the next, forever cast.
Or maybe not, the truth unknown,
A seed of wonder, softly sown.

Do we outgrow, in our own stride,
The maker's plan, where futures hide?
For earthly tasks, we get our chance,
And sometimes more, a second glance.

So I will live, with open eyes,
Beneath the vast and silent skies.
And trust the path, however spun,
Until my earthly race is run.

The Seed Of Wonder.
