The Shadow Monsters - Poem by Rachel Flint

The shadow monsters
On the bedroom wall,
Have sharp claws
And sharper teeth

They wait until
Kids go to sleep
Then start to nibble
At their feet

I’ll tell you
A little secret
About the shadow monsters
They’re scardy cats
Who run away
When the lights
Are turned on
