The Shoe Lace Poem by Murasaki Kitsune

The Shoe Lace

It goes over and under
Still you barely ever wonder
Just how it may tie your shoes
Without them your shoes may die
You can say it do not matter
The fact of the matter
Is that they may be little and small
But they keep your shoes together after all
The lace is a luxury to society
And never get a hint of reality
When stuff hits the fan
And they aren't there for you to stand
on
Off goes one shoe
Now another
That makes two
So just think what will you do
If your laces weren't in your shoes

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem was created because my College Writing teacher, Dr. Ras Tsidi Acolatse dared me to write a poem about the shoe lace; because i wasnt doing his work and he thought i didnt like to write. That wasnt the case i just only like writing things I am interested in. So I wrote this to show him i can write when given the right motivation. He liked it alot and gave me this site so my poems can be read. Hope you'll like it.

YOU MAY thank your teacher for me. i like it very much! there may be a typo or two. i like where you put on on a line by itself. in fact i especially liked the whole second half of your poem. nice work; ; i hope you got a good grade. too bad, in a way, that some students are resistant to or unable to perform well in a rigid setting. thanks for sharing. i dabble in humor (and other things) . i have my titles preceded, on poemhunter, by words that describe somewhat the subjects i am writing about.
