I'm Back And Ready Poem by Murasaki Kitsune

I'm Back And Ready

Rating: 5.0

Been gone for quite some time
I been in a rut and far from fine
I been through so much and grown a lot
But there one thing I have surely forgot
This is my outlet it keeps me calm
It how I can keep from doing wrong
Poetry it will me my salvation
Just knowing that it is of my own creation
I know I been gone for a lone while
But I'm back now and I'm ready to go wild

(cont.) Murasaki, i think i see in your poem 'signs' of your inner city upbringing. i like reading those signs e.g. i been, not i've been which is what i was taught to use. i DO think you have two 'real' typos. i like the poem a lot. to MyPoemList. i hope you have continued to recover and that you will continue to find solace in writing and this site. recovering is something i have to do when i've eaten a gallon of ice cream in 20 minutes. i COULD guess at what you are recovering from but there are too many choices and it ain't (too) important (perhaps) compared to the fact(?) that you are recovering and have remembered and returned to PoemHunter, a outlet'. today i noticed you once left a nice comment at my poem The English Word....Fuch....
