The dead pointed me to a
refreshing stream of water
How is it that he died
of a parched throat?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A young man commits suicide leaving as his suicide note, a poem that reads, "they said you came looking for me, I didnt drown. I was the water" by Jo Nketia. When I looked up the poet and her other works, I was inspired to write again and I also found out that her quoted poem was one of hope however, the young man quoted it and gave up. This poem is me brooding over the whole situation of his death leading me to find my inspiration to write again.
And for the young man I'll say, he didnt get his miracle but even in death he led someone to hers.

A sad poem, yet it does have consolation. Anything that inspires you to start writing again has to be good.
