The Silences Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Silences

The Silences

I will let you go,
The silences are reasons enought,
No man can tolerate the silence,
Unintelligible but lethal,

Voices conspiring in the tombs,
Voices l am unable to hear.
The deadened walls remained with the dead, sound proofed,

As solitary as a heart that fires those cannon balls, without the ballistics.
As would a solitary song played without a record player.

On and on, the silent discs unwinds,
As we watched and turn towards each other,
A play without the feelings,
A depth without the words.
