The Single Life Poem by Randy McClave

The Single Life

Single life is great
Whoever I want to, I can date,
And if I don't want to date anyone
Then I just move on.
I go to wherever I want to go
Out to eat, for a drive or for a show,
And I don't have to ask anyone's permission
When I go on any mission.
I can go to the clubs with my pals
There I can look a flirt with all the gals,
And I never feel remorseful or sad
Because, their beauty made me feel glad.
My house is never a mess
That fact I will honestly confess,
I know how to sweep and mop and clean
And I even know how to use the dishwashing machine.
Never do I argue or fight
Never do I have to prove that I am right,
My luggage is all that I have carried
All other luggage is gone or buried.
I always go home happily to an empty house
Because, I have no girlfriend or a spouse,
The only luggage their is only mine
I am always joyful and happy and fine.
No one dictates or tells me what to ever do
Or tell me what I already knew,
In life I am truly happy and I am where I want to be
Single life is for me.
