The pain after being slapped
The pain is not because it hurts,
The pain is not because
Your tears rolls down to your shirts.
Although they slapped you
On your boneless cheeks,
Although after being slapped
It had been so many weeks.
But you still remember each scene
You still dream of the day,
This all reverberates in your mind
Your feet still shiver the same way.
It is all happening because
The slap had an impact,
Not on your cheeks
But on the mind which it sacked.
The pain is because
Why you had been slapped,
The pain is for
The selfish agreement which they kept.
Love is not agreement or business
Where someone sell and trade,
I loved, the only mistake
For which I had been slapped.
great poem, but very sad I wish we could avoid the slap but at times you never see it as it come.
