The Sleepy Indian Poem by Lauren Coles

Kids are like Indians when they don't get enough sleep,
Mouths open wide,
Indians didn't have energy drinks to keep them away,
Good thing energy drinks are bad for kids anyway,
In today's world kids need to keep their eyes open for things askew,
Indians had to be on their a game,
Indians paid attention to their surroundings,
Kids don't,
Indians had horses to keep them awake,
We can learn something from them even though they are dead.
