The Son Of The Sun Poem by Tshegofatso Mohlala

The Son Of The Sun

As the sun goes to sleep behind the mountain,
Freaks come out as the settlers close the curtain,
With the natural difficulty to see in the night; things become uncertain,
Hoodrats run in zigzags to make it hard for their seekers to crack their pattern.

With A large number of stars astrologists can easily decipher planet saturn,
In the dark some are involved in activities inspired by Satan,
Some like myself lift out their burdens to Christ as we are heavy ladden,
Daily some are deflowered as the assumption of marriage calls the pure maiden.

As the sun comes out of the gravel; the darkness is temporarily forsaken,
Except for the daylight robbery that gets the women shaken,
By fear that is so vivid and blatant,
Those who are caught are straightened.

The lord calls for the weak to be strengthened,
Until the sun goes to sleep; the moon is left stranded...
