A Common Struggle Poem by Tshegofatso Mohlala

A Common Struggle

God bless the poor, the depraved, and the recovering addicts,
Lord knows they struggle to enjoy life,
Men get locked in a cage by result of verdicts,
In various cases of crime in which some may include murder with a knife.

In that kind of situation with no mercy nor benedict,
How can you enjoy life?
When you live with sicknesses relying on a medic,
How can you enjoy life?

With a heart so vindictive,
How can you enjoy life?
Pain is always suggestive,
In the heart of a man who lost a loving wife.

Would I be so reflective,
If I was in a position where I could easily thrive?
