The Song Of The Baby Poem by Ketan Hukare

The Song Of The Baby

Rating: 5.0

I came recently from a different world,
Where I could see with my eyes shut.
I was a king there
Well, I am a baby in this new world!
My birth was a reason of joy
For many organisms just like me.
My smile is laughter and cheeks are toy
For the ones who play with me.
I care for none
I am just alive for myself.
I am not shy to laugh
Nor to cry like a lovelorn man.
I am awake all the time
Even when I am thought to be asleep,
I hear them say, 'What a cute baby! '
I am forgiven for all my mistakes
Thanks to my small body
Thanks to my innocent face.
I am pocket full of surprises-
The joy of new born mother
The responsibility of infant father.
Tears of heaven I bring along
To my grand parents who waited long
For someone like me
A winsome newborn baby!
