The Songs On The Fm Radio Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Songs On The Fm Radio

The Songs On The Karoake/FM Radio

In my time, my younger days there were many songs,
And the FM stereo was pleasing to the ears especially on earphones,

The was a man, a lonely man, who lost his love, through his indifference,
I had a dream, i had a song, a song to last through anything,
Long ago and so far away, I heard your voice and listen to the radio.

Dance to the end of the world,
You are a dancing queen,
Black magic woman, black magic woman,
Dance to the music, dance to the rhythm,

I saw you standing, as if i could forget,
I saw your face in the morning sun, and l touch you in the pouring rain,
And we lovers the moment that we met,
You must remember this a kiss is still a kiss, a sigh is still a sigh,

When you are lonely and life is making you lonely, you can always go downtown,
Do you know the way to San Jose, ?
If you are going to San Francisco be sure to wear some flowers in your hair,

There was a time when I was lonely as you are, I was like you,
If you go away on this summer day,
Feelings, nothing more than feelings,

The long and winding roads,
What do you get when you fall in love,

Maria I just met a girl named Maria,
Tonight tonight there will be no other night,
Somewhere down the road, we meet again someday,

This land is mine, God gave this land to me
This land is my land, from California to NewYork Island

Kiss today good bye, the heartache and the sorrow,
Strangers in the night, exchanging glances,

When youre weary feeling sad, when tears are in your eyes,
There will never be another you,
I am a rock, i am an island,

I'll be the song, I'll be the words and I'll be youre everything,
Macarthur Park, is raining in the dark.

I've been to Georgia andCalifornia and anywhere i could roam, took the hand of a preacher man,
Sometimes i hear the Lorelai ever so near the lorelai,

Who wants to play, who wants to sing listen to the Guitar Man.
It's all over, didn't even cry, i just stopped living,
I have been a rover, l have walk alone,
walk a hundred highways,

Tha ra ra ran, tara ran, ran breaking up is hard to do,
Etc, etc, echetera and echetera,

My missi, l and the kids we enjoy these songs, and sing along with the Karaoeke,
