The Sparkler And The Incense Stick Poem by Sagnik Chakraborty

The Sparkler And The Incense Stick

In my heart a sparkler brightly burns,
It sizzles, in the darkness quietly screams,
In its light you sense the warmth of love,
And thus your mirth the burning being earns.

In your heart an incense stick steady
Burns and emanates delirious bliss,
Like fragrant notes of music wafting by
Its perfume sings mellifluous melody.

The sparkler of my heart did once ignite
Its death to cherish in pursuit of light,
It lives in love so bright, in love to die,
For life is love, and love to death a flight.

The incense stick of your heart burns itself
To transcend spheres, in deep chasms to delve,
The firmament to touch with fragrance sweet,
Mingling with clouds on a celestial shelf.

The sizzling sparkler burns and in its glow
Sings of love to another burning slow,
The incense stick with quiet fragrance replies
Of its passionate love in silent show.
