The Spirit Of Love Poem by james watkin

The Spirit Of Love

All consuming
Ever illumining.
Inspiring to aspire
In compassionate deeds
(Man's hearts and minds entire)
Toward a greatness intuitively it heeds.
An expression of life, finer, higher.
Emancipated by God if it succeeds.

Easily entreated
And never defeated
The soul through it born again.
Possessed to be assessed;
While with evil opposed.
When bodily tempted, oppressed
An asset if upon ourselves imposed.

In life's assays
Essentially allays.
Whosoever forgives lives;
And for righteousness claims
A victory that survives
The one so maimed; and who maims.
