The Spring Poem by Sujoy Bhattacharya

The Spring

You are the queen.
A quean clad in a gorgeous dress
is envious of your beauty.
The ascetic penance of the winter
helps you to empower you with the
Divine glory to embellish the Earth
with immortal elegance - excellence of
ecclesiastic ecstasy!
Taking ablution in the glowing stream
of the sun -
You walk over the ramp of the Earth.
The blue sky squeezes herself to give
a finishing touch to your beauty.
Birds and insects sing a welcome hymn
Listless ripples of the flowing rivers
chant for praising freedom!
The meditating mountains make a soliloquy
to admire your aromatic sacredness!
Opening the door of the cosmic green room
the stars and the moon send you a note of
congratulations for adorning the blur planet!
Hibernating flora and fauna come out of their
hiatus to greet you garrulous outcry with
sonorous sanctity!
My mortal eyes shed tears of joy
to pay you a hilarious homage!

ecclesiastical ecstasy!
